Congratulations on finding our      page!

Heart Page Icon

We thought it would be fun to have a 'hidden' page for our heart-centered business owners where we can share some important things to consider.

One of the biggest “traps” of being an entrepreneur is that there is no self devotion.

It’s funny - we go into business because we want to share our gifts with others and so we become devoted to making the business work, but….we forget our devotion to ourselves.  It is of paramount importance to be clear about how you are going to practice self devotion as you go into business.  And, if you are already in business, the next best time is now.

We know the Heart of the 'Everyday Entrepreneur.'

Not just because we have experienced it ourselves, but also because we have been honored to have worked with so many on their business journeys.  We have witnessed the triumphs and held space in tumultuous times.  If you are like other entrepreneurs who are struggling, we know what you are telling yourself versus what your heart is trying to tell you.

It might go something like this....

“I started this business so I could share my gifts with others.”

“I don’t know what I’m doing.”

I’m scared.

“I have to try harder.”

“I have to focus ALL my time and energy on making this work.”

I’m exhausted.

“I have to work harder, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to do”

I’m overwhelmed

“If I’m going to make this work I need to learn things and do things I don’t really want or know how to do, but I want to share my gift, so I HAVE to do it. I’ll just work harder.”

I’m losing who I am

“I don’t know what I’m doing.  Why am I doing this?”

I’m a failure

“This sucks, this sucks, this sucks.”

I feel so alone.  I should just give up.  I’m never going to make enough money anyway.

The truth is, you are not alone.

There are so many others going through a similar experience.  And there are so many ways to get help.

We need to know when to stop giving too much of ourselves and to recognize that at some point, the scales will tip and we’ll crash.

What is it that we really all want in life?  To be loved and accepted for who we are.

Your business is a reflection of you. All of it. The good, the bad, the ugly and the fucking fabulous.

If we really want to own (and we mean capital O.W.N.) our business, we first need to OWN ourselves.  We need to love and accept who we are so we can bring all of who we are (and aren’t) to our business.

In your personal life, if your neighbor’s kid fell down and broke their arm - you wouldn’t all of a sudden decide that you’re a paramedic and can take care of it, right?!  So why would you expect yourself to be able to run a business unless you’ve been trained?  The worst part is that it seems so obvious when we say it like that, but so many judge themselves every day because they expect so much of themselves.  As if overnight we’re all expected to know accounting, business law, management, marketing….you get the point.

It is possible to own a business without blame, shame, guilt, or regret OR without running yourself into the ground.

We know that this is easier said than done, but with the right help it is possible.

A good place to start is to reach out to your 'fellow badass lady bosses' and have a real, raw, and vulnerable conversation. Nothing gets you through the tough times like a likeminded community going through the same shit! ;-)

Learn to talk to your heart.  If you listen more deeply to your heart, and not just the fear and pain in it, you will get to a better place, a more harmonious life.

Let’s be kind to ourselves.
